Should I get smart bulbs or smart switches?
Smart bulbs go in the fixtures you already have. The catch is that the wall switch has to stay on, because a bulb with no power can’t get commands from the app. A smart switch replaces the wall switch itself, which means work on the house’s 120-volt wiring. Ask on the call which one suits your house.
Can smart lighting work with my security cameras?
If they’re planned together, yes: the lights go where the cameras need them. For a camera to turn the lights on when it sees movement, both have to be on the same system, so mention that on the call before you buy either one.
What does smart lighting cost?
